2ND MARKET CAPITAL ECONOMIC OPPORTUNITY FOUNDATION DEBUTS, ANNOUNCING $72,000 IN SUPPORT OF MADISON-AREA ORGANIZATIONS
July 10, 2019 –2nd Market Capital Economic Opportunity Foundation, (2eof), the community outreach arm of 2nd Market Capital Advisory, a registered investment advisor located in Madison, Wisconsin announces the approval of $72,000 in matching grants to Madison-area nonprofits committed to improving the lives of young people in our community.
We believe the best way to enable all children to succeed in school, careers, and life is to provide access to educational and economic opportunities.
The Mellowhood Foundation – $10,000 matching grant to support The Mellowhood Foundation’s mission to provide opportunities for youth and parents in underserved and undervalued Madison neighborhood. Donations made to The Mellowhood Foundation will be matched up to $10,000 through August 31, 2019.
Madym – $10,000 matching grant in support of Maydm’s efforts to provide technology training for girls and youth of color. Contributions to Madym will be matched up to $10,000 through August 31, 2019.
Operation Fresh Start – $22,000 matching grant to Operation Fresh Start in support of its mission to provide disconnected youth a path to self-sufficiency. Donations made to Operation Fresh Start will be matched up to $22,000 through October 15, 2019.
One City Schools – $10,000 matching grant to One City School to support their efforts to prepare young children to succeed in school and life. Donations to One City Schools will be matched up to $10,000 through August 31, 2019.
Simpson Street Free Press – $20,000 matching grant to the Simpson Street Free Press in support of its mission to deliver rigorous academic instruction in after-school settings and spread a positive message of youth achievement, academic success, and community service. 2eof will match donations to the Simpson Street Free Press up to $20,000 through December 31, 2019.
