2nd Market Capital Economic Opportunity Foundation (2MC Foundation) is the community outreach arm of 2nd Market Capital Advisory Corporation.  We created the foundation in 2018 to provide support to organizations committed to improving the lives of young people in our community.

We believe the best way to enable all children to succeed in school, careers, and life is to provide access to educational and economic opportunities.

December 2018 marked the completion of a hard-won 30 years of profitable operations for 2nd Market Capital Advisory Corporation.

While we believe our success has been rooted in sound ideology, market awareness, innovation of concept, and hard work, the principals at 2nd Market Capital share a profound gratitude for our individual educational, economic, professional, health, and family good fortunes we experienced coming of age in the last decades of the 20th century.  Today’s youth born into similar working-class/middle-class circumstances are presented with fewer opportunities and many more obstacles in their pursuit of success.  The public consensus acknowledges that our government-sponsored agencies and organizations are falling short in any stated effort to provide all Americans fair access to educational and economic opportunity.  Undeterred by shortcomings in governmental efforts, our neighbors have been innovative in identifying needs and crafting solutions. We intend to support their efforts.

In 2018, through an initial grant of $1M appreciated stock, 2nd Market Capital (2MC) funded the 2nd Market Capital Economic Opportunity Foundation (2MC Foundation).  As available, 2MC will make annual stock grants to the foundation.
